Laser Assisted Periodontal Treatment

Cerec 3D
We now have the capability to create beautiful ceramic crowns in one visit. A Cerec crown is created using computerized digital technology which eliminates the need for wearing a temporary crown and having a second visit to place the permanent crown.
The Process: After the tooth has been prepared, a precise 3D digital impression is done with a small intraoral camera. Using the CAD/CAM program, the doctors will design your new tooth while you watch. The Cerec crown is milled in-office from a single block of ceramic with diamond cutting burs and the finished restoration is bonded to place. These non-metal crowns are the most bio-compatible material available and have the same characteristics as normal healthy enamel.
NewTom 3D Imaging
With precise 1:1 scale imaging, NewTom technology eliminates the magnification errors of conventional imaging technology. 3D imaging allows the doctors to identify potentially serious problems, such as airway passage obstructions and soft tissue abnormalities, and helps avoid potential errors due to the image distortion and magnification commonly found with 2D imaging technology. This state of the art technique allows complete visualization of the oral and maxillofacial complex. The doctors use the information obtained from this data to evaluate hard tissues for possible dental implant placement and/or grafting, dental and orthodontic treatment planning, temporomandibular joint complex evaluation, demonstration of anatomic variations and evaluation of patients who have experienced trauma. Our NewTom system employs Safe Beam™ technology, the safest technology available for patient and staff. SafeBeam automatically adjusts the radiation dosage according to the patient’s age and size. This technology utilizes intermittent bursts of radiation only milliseconds in length during image acquisition. Safe Beam technology automatically and continuously monitors system operations, thus eliminating the possibility of unnecessary exposures.
Laser Caries Detection
To detect decay in teeth dentist have always used the hand explorer. A sharp curved instrument that will ‘stick' in a groove or pit of a tooth when a softening of the enamel occurs or decay is present. Sometimes the decay is large by the time an explorer can stick. Now using the KaVo DIAGNOent laser, decay can be detected much earlier and can also be used to monitor the progression of small decays at each dental hygiene appointment.
Watch-PAT 100
A unique ambulatory device, providing auto-analysis and auto-reporting for evaluating airway related sleep disorders in an un-attended home environment. The Watch-PAT 100 is a self-contained device that is worn on the wrist and uses a non-invasive finger mounted probe to measure the PAT signal. The recorded signals are stored in a removable memory card in the device to be downloaded to a computer for automatic analysis utilizing proprietary algorithms. In addition to the PAT Signal, the Watch-PAT 100 records oxygen saturation and actigraphy. A fourth channel, pulse rate, is derived from the PAT Signal.
Eccovision Airway Assesment
The Eccovision provides a means to thoroughly and accurately assess the patient's airway. Completely painless and non-invasive, the Eccovision emits sound waves through a self-contained central processing unit comprised of two tools: the rhinometer and pharyngometer. They map the patient's nasal passages and pharyngeal airway, respectively, via a technique called 'acoustic reflection'. The results are on-screen graphs directly correlating to the physicality of the patient's nasal passages and pharyngeal airway. According to Hood Labs, the manufacturer of the Eccovision, the acoustic reflection technique 'utilizes a patented, state-of-the-art acoustic signal processing technology to provide graphical representations of airway patency as a function of distance from the airway opening'.
