His general practice provides complete dental care for adults and children using state of the art equipment and techniques without the use of mercury filling material.

Dr. Darryl provides evaluation and treatment for periodontal disease, root canals and surgical extractions. He is skilled with placing Nobel dental implants for missing teeth, and in most cases can offer one appointment Cerec restorations for single implants when healing is complete.

Dental Restorations

Our office is dedicated to utilizing the healthiest dental restoration techniques available. For this reason, the doctors do not use any amalgam/mercury filling material in the office. Composite resin filling materials are used by the doctors for most tooth restorations. Today's composite materials are strong, durable and provide a natural tooth colored filling which is aesthetically superior to the old silver/mercury fillings.

Cerec Crowns

We now have the capability to create beautiful ceramic crowns in one visit. A Cerec® crown is created using computerized digital technology which eliminates the need for wearing a temporary crown and having a second visit to place the permanent crown.

After the tooth has been prepared, a precise 3D digital impression is done with a small intraoral camera. Using the CAD/CAM program, the doctors will design your new tooth while you watch. The Cerec® crown is milled in-office from a single block of ceramic with diamond cutting burs and the finished restoration is bonded to place. These non-metal crowns are the most bio-compatible material available and have the same characteristics as normal healthy enamel.

NewTom 3D Imaging

With precise 1:1 scale imaging, NewTom technology eliminates the magnification errors of conventional imaging technology. 3D imaging allows the doctors to identify potentially serious problems, such as airway passage obstructions and soft tissue abnormalities, and helps avoid potential errors due to the image distortion and magnification commonly found with 2D imaging technology. This state of the art technique allows complete visualization of the oral and maxillofacial complex. The doctors use the information obtained from this data to evaluate hard tissues for possible dental implant placement and/or grafting, dental and orthodontic treatment planning, temporomandibular joint complex evaluation, demonstration of anatomic variations and evaluation of patients who have experienced trauma. Our NewTom system employs Safe Beam™ technology, the safest technology available for patient and staff. SafeBeam automatically adjusts the radiation dosage according to the patient's age and size. This technology utilizes intermittent bursts of radiation only milliseconds in length during image acquisition. Safe Beam technology automatically and continuously monitors system operations, thus eliminating the possibility of unnecessary exposures.

Laser Assisted Periodontal Treatment

It is estimated that during their lifetime 80% of the U.S. population will develop gum disease and that once it starts it does not usually reverse itself without specialized care.
Researchers have discovered an important connection between periodontal disease and heart disease, stroke, diabetes, pre-term low birth weight babies, cancers, Alzheimer's, respiratory disease, kidney disease plus others.
If you do require periodontal treatment it can now be done painlessly with lasers, avoiding surgery in most cases. The treatment has no side effects and will in fact enhance your immune system and overall health. New developments have added options to treatment that allow a rapid reduction in pocket depth and home maintenance, without the need for quarterly deep cleanings, and most often avoiding surgery.
We are now providing the following treatments: Laser Assisted Perio Therapy (LAPT), targeted nutritional supplements, Hydrofloss, specialized toothbrushes, special toothpaste and rinses.
Our goal is to allow you to play the most important role in staying healthy for life.

Laser Caries Detection

To detect decay in teeth dentist have always used the hand explorer. A sharp curved instrument that will 'stick' in a groove or pit of a tooth when a softening of the enamel occurs or decay is present. Sometimes the decay is large by the time an explorer can stick. Now using the KaVo DIAGNOent laser, decay can be detected much earlier and can also be used to monitor the progression of small decays at each dental hygiene appointment.
